Overhead gates require a spring system to elevate them from the ground up to the ceiling and are considered more dangerous to operate. Overhead gates are most common at apartment buildings and tight parking areas and their gate opener is mounted on the ceiling.

At Elite Gates we will manufacture the gate to fit perfectly between the walls and tailor the spring system to the gate's weight, height and width. Some overhead gates require light duty, inexpensive spring systems and some require a complex and expensive system. Some will require a light duty gate opener and some will need a heavy duty commercial type. Rest assured we will choose the correct one for you so you won't find the gate resting on top of your car.
